Qurbani

Please note that, although Qurbani is cheaper in some other countries, it is more rewarding where there is a greater need.

There are thousands of poor and needy who benefit directly from the many vital Qurbaani and Iftaari packages that are performed and distributed in Albania and Kosovo. It is important to remember that for these communities food is very basic and meat is a priceless and rare luxury.

Last year we managed to carry out numerous Qurbanis, ten cows were sacrificed in the path of God at a price of £85 per animal and this benefited hundreds of families in the poorest regions of Kosovo and Albania - areas where meat is a rare luxury. We at Rahma would like to kindly encourage people to consider the poor people of this region and for them to give their Qurbani to them.

Please remember that these people are so poor that they very rarely have the opportunity to eat or enjoy meat. The Muslims of Kosovo and Albania are our nearest neighbours and we have a duty to help them, and revive a practice of Islam and help the poor on the joyous occasion of 'Eid-ul-Adha.

This year, the cost of Qurbaani will be £85 each and again the ritual will be performed in accordance with Shari'ah and overseen by Ulaama. It is our duty to help our neighbours, so please help us to revive this vital Islamic practice.

Please note that, although Qurbani is cheaper in some other countries, it is more rewarding where there is a greater need.
