Rahma (Mercy)'s core work is to help and support the many poor and needy orphans throughout Albania and Kosovo. As with previous years, we are delighted to report that the number of orphans we help continues to increase. With your contributions and generous support, Rahma actively supports over 260 orphans in Albania and 290 in Kosovo.

Each child receives £17 per month (this equates to just 56 pence per day/£204 per year) and helps meet their most basic of needs. Sponsorship money is paid directly to the orphan or their guardian.

Rahma (Mercy) plays a very active role in ensuring the monitoring and welfare of all the orphans that are in receipt of money and support. We make sure that the children receive what is rightfully theirs and we offer peace of mind to all those who donate to such a worthy cause.

This form of support truly changes lives. It offers hope and the chance for these poor children to build better lives and to dream of a much brighter future. Please continue these children to led happier lives against such overwhelming odds. We really appreciate your help - please continue!

Orphan Case Study - Husniya's Story

HusniyaIn May 2011, Rahma caught up with Husniya, one of the orphans who benefits from your help. Husniya was only a week old when her father died. Not long after, her mother abandoned her, leaving Husniya alone and to be raised by her grandmother.
Now eight years on. Husniya and her grandmother have had their lives changed by the money given to them by Rahma. The grandmother who also looks after 3 other orphans was emotional when asked how the money has helped her. She said that everything had changed and they can lead a better life thanks to the contributions. It's amazing how such a small amount can have an amazing impact.
