Massajid Construction

To date, 14 Masaajid have been built in areas where previously there was no Masjid for the local villagers to attend. However, each of these Masajid now proudly serve a village of approximately 75 - 150 homes.

Kosovo and Albania were cruel victims of and badly affected by communism, and as a result nearly all the Masajid in these parts were destroyed. More recently, Rahma (mercy) has sought to turn this around and taken the initiative to build brand new Masajid in these countries.

To date, 14 Masajid have been built in areas where previously there was no Masjid for the local villagers to attend. However, each of these Masajid now proudly serve a village of approximately 75 - 150 homes.
There are still many areas throughout Albania where people sadly do not have access to a Masjid; and it is important that such areas have a Masajid in order not only to establish prayer but to foster a strong community spirit and to enable people to work together to meet the many varying needs of the community.

Therefore, with your help, Rahma (Mercy) intends to build more Masajid in the coming year. Each Masjid costs approximately £50,000 to build and we request your generous support with this most righteous and rewarding project.

Masjid Habibullah

Habibullah MasjidIt's not every day when you receive that one phone call that can literally be a life changing moment. But that is exactly what happened last September 2010 during Ramadhan to Moulana Khalil Patel when he received such a call from a Muslim sister and her daughter pledging to build a Masjid in Albania.

Both Mother and Daughter were aware of Rahma (Mercy)'s work and were keen to do their bit to help. After having spoken with Moulana Khalil, they said they wanted to build a Masjid in the remembrance of our Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The mother who sadly is unwell and suffering with illness made their intentions with such sincerity and generosity that it was simply breath-taking!

Since then we are proud to say that a group of 20 people including Moulana Najib Khan from Bristol, members of Khidmah and others went to Elbasan in March 2011 for the grand opening of the 14th Masjid to be built in Albania - the beautiful Masjid Habibullah.

In today's ever changing and demand society, it is important to remember that there are people who pledge with their hearts and with noble intentions. Rahma Mercy would like to give heartfelt thanks and prayers to this wonderful mother and daughter duo and we urge all members and supporters to remember the mother in their prayers and that God give her patience and cure from her illness.

May the Almighty elevate your status in this world and in the next - Ameen!
