About Rahma (Mercy)
"I would like to kick off this year's report by touching upon the 'Rahma Academy Project'. I was able to introduce the vision for this project in last year's report and work on realising this dream is now gathering pace."

My respected Brothers and Sisters,
Assalaamu 'alaikum

Through the Almighty's Grace and Supreme blessings I am humbled to present to you Rahma's latest annual report. I must admit that I cannot believe how fast the last 12 months have gone as it literally feels like yesterday that we wrapped up last year's report. What I can say is that over the last year the entire Rahma team and I have been busy, busy, busy!

I would like to kick off this year's report by touching upon the 'Rahma Academy Project'. I was able to introduce the vision for this project in last year's report and work on realising this dream is now gathering pace. Since last year, we have secured the land, had the designs approved, and the building works for this multi-storey, multi-purpose building is now well underway. More on where we are with this work is contained within the report.

Over the last year Rahma Mercy has successfully raised its profile beyond Leicester and those areas already familiar with our work. We now have greater exposure in cities such as London, Birmingham, Stoke, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Bristol and many others across England, Scotland and Wales. We have also enjoyed successful collections for Masaajid in places like Wolverhampton and Swindon.

Rahma has also taken bigger delegations of people to Albania so they can witness first hand, not only the situation faced by the Albanian Muslims but the wonderful work that has been carried out by your donations. These visits mean a person experiences the other side of life and instils in them a greater understanding of the work Rahma is doing, and by the Almighty's Grace they will spread our message further.

Rahma has also benefitted from a much needed female perspective into our work. Two Aalimahs from Leicester joined the contingent and this has been a massive bonus for us. Having a woman's view means that not only can we improve how we work, but that it takes our message to a very important demographic - and we all know just how generous our Muslim Sisters are!

Finally, I'd like to thank Moulana Ismail Novsarka, who for the last two years has been a cornerstone of our office in Leicester. He has worked tirelessly, and has left Rahma to work at Dar-Ul-Uloom, Leicester. On behalf of the whole team, we wish him success in everything he pursues.

Thank you for your support. Please keep on contributing, this is just the beginning...

Wasalaam
